Background
SINTERMETAL SAIC is fully dedicated to the MANUFACTURING OF BUSHINGS AND BEARINGS. The company is a succesor of an homonimous S.R.L.(Limited Responsability Partnership) founded by Mr. Camilo Scheidl in 1951, which started as a small plant of synthesized products in 4877 Alcaras Street, Capital Federal. This S.R.L. Company becomes a S.A. (Anonimous Partnership) Company in May 1961 and it is registered in the Justice General Inspection Registry under the number 13349. Mr Gualterio Benini acquired the majority of Sintermetal shares in 1972, when he becomes president of this company. At present, head offices are placed in 4839 Zuviría Street in a large area of 5.800 m² that had been acquired in 1961. The building was later subjected to several expansions and modifications under a development and enlarging strategy, which also introduced german technology as well. In 1976, the company joinned GLYCO METALL WERKE, DAELEN & LOOS GMBH (Wiesbaden- Germany) following an industrial vocation projected to the future. The terms of the agreement between Sintermetal and this leader company in the german bearings and bushings market show their appreciation to the Benini Group. Since 1973, Sintermetal S.A. has developed its own matrices department, which has allowed the company to satisfy different market requirements in relation to the replenishment of the autoparts it produces. Mr. Claudio Benini- highly trainned in the technical-indutrial field- received technical trainning and assistance in german plants for more than a year and also in a plant of Clevite for six months. Within the development process of Sintermetal, it is worth mentioning the Manufacturing Re-Equiping Plan, whose amount of investment on machinery and equipments reached u$s 6.076.598,00 in 5 years. |
In
1990, a new production plant in Campana (Province of Buenos Aires)
was installed and opened becoming one of the most important events
in the development of the company. The building is 6.500 m²
large on an area of 200.000 m². At this plant, the state-of-the-art
equipement allows to reach a production volume of 30.000.000 peaces
per year. Besides, Sintermetal acquisition of Glyco shareholding prove the strength of this group, which has gainned independence and freedom in the formulation of business and corporative strategies. In view of the increasing foreign demand and in order to strenghten the external market, Sintermetal participates in the most important specialized fairs of the world, such as Automechanic (Germany), Automec (Brazil), Equip Auto (France), Big I (U.S.A.), Automech (Egypt), and also in other countries such as Colombia, Venezuela, South Africa, Mexico, Italy and Spain. Sintermetal has another important element within his company and it is the Technical Support Personnel, which is available for customers offering technical talks and promotion plant tours. Besides, manufacturing agreements were signed in order to supply the important brands of the autopartist market. |
